Philip William Yetton (* 1943) ist Professor an der University of New South Wales (UNSW).^[1] Er unterrichtet dort im General Manager Program die Workshops für Leadership und Entscheidungsfindung.^[1] Er hält Gastprofessuren an der Warwick Business School und der University of Bath.^[1]

Nach einem Bachelor Degree der Cambridge University (1962 - 1965) promovierte Yetton an der Carnegie Mellon University (1968 - 1972) in den USA.^[1] 1976 nahm Yetton seine Tätigkeit an der University of New South Wales auf und verblieb für den Rest seiner Karriere dort.

Seine bekannteste Arbeit entstand während seines Hauptstudiums an der Carnegie Mellon Universität in Zusammenarbeit mit seinem Doktorvater Victor Harold Vroom.

Seine Interessen befassen sich mit Führung, ****IS-based strategic change**** ´, Projektmanagement, Governance sowie Organisationsdesign und -Fähigkeiten. Größte Bekanntheit erlangte Yetton durch seine Arbeiten zur Entscheidungsfindung, die er gemeinsam mit Victor Harold Vroom 1971 veröffentlichte.

Zusätzlich zu seinen Lehrtätigkeiten ist Yetton Mitglied der Redaktion des British Journal of Management und Organizational Behavior.^[1]

Phillip Yetton wurde mit dem Vice-Chancellor's Teaching Award der UNSW ausgezeichnet.^[1] 2001 wurde er mit dem Kenneth R. Ernst Award geehrt und 2003 wurden seine Leistungen in der Führungsforschung durch das Journal of Learning der Academy of Management anerkannt.^[1]
