From medicine to technology and back again - my little story of unexpected twists and turns.

In the last year of my medical studies, without financial support from my parents, I was faced with the daunting task (like many of us) of preparing for my third state examination and earning a living at the same time. Days and nights blended into a constant battle for time and knowledge between hospital shifts, library sessions and night shifts.

During this challenging time, a fellow student introduced me to John, a doctor who needed help with the statistical analysis of a study. This encounter combined my enthusiasm for medicine and research with a previously hidden talent: programming. Armed with thick books, I immersed myself in the world of code and databases. John became both a mentor and a friend, with whom I later founded my first company and thus laid the foundation for my professional future.

For our first major customer, B.Braun Melsungen, I developed a digital patient record system that revolutionized the planning, production and provision of individualized venous nutrition for cancer patients. This project forced me to learn design, UX and UI on my own - an endeavor enriched by the support of my first collaborators.

Today, I am proud to lead BBMG and SigmaCollect, companies specializing in video, motion design, 3D and medical animation. They are the result of years of passion and hard work dedicated to disseminating medical knowledge in an innovative and accessible way.

Since then, I have been convinced that the greatest challenges can give rise to the most beautiful opportunities - provided you are willing to learn, adapt and never lose hope.

I use Wikipedia for research and sometimes work as a paid editor for my clients, naturally striving to contribute relevant and neutral content.
