What have I contributed to the conference? What worked out well and what not?

I was one of the "space leaders" for the Languages space, so even before Wikimania itself I was already involved in reviewing the program submissions for our space and choosing which ones to accept and where to put them into the schedule. This worked out well and we had a good set of interesting, fruitful and thought-provoking presentations and discussions. I attended a lot of them, also in order to help take notes or film them. I think the space concept really worked out very well in our space, but also from what I have seen in others.

What bring I back from Wikimania for me and my work in Wikipedia?
Which ideas for projects or similar activities came into existence? How have I pursued them so far, what are my plans for the future?

An interesting idea developed in an area which I actually had not expected to be dealing with at Wikimania at all: but from travelling to Wikimania with User:Zenith4237, a skilled photographer, attending the GLAM mini keynote about saving knowledge from the burning of the National Museum of Brazil and noticing some projects which were about documenting certain topics on Wikipedia as completely as possible (both through articles and photos) that were showcased in the poster session, I happened to notice that the coverage of churches in my home area - the vast majority of which are historic monuments - is less than ideal. A first rustic overview page was started at Benutzer:MF-Warburg/k and I am planning to organise an event or a chain of events for taking photos, especially of the interior, which hardly exist so far under a free license. Alas, it might be a bit too late for this year's Wiki Loves Monuments! It also inspired me to procure the necessary literature to write the missing articles, the first one of which already exists now.

Which contacts to international Wikimedians have I made or foster, on which topics? How do they affect my activities in Wikipedia or its sister projects, and how do I intend to carry on dialogue?
What have I learned in the chosen topic area (international exchange or movement strategy)?

Also, I was very happy to meet my WMDE scholarship tandem partner, m:User:Ajraddatz and to attend the wikimania:2019:Thriving in Safety/Do we need a global dispute resolution committee? session organized by him and User:DerHexer. A discussion about the topic is very necessary to have. In the Language Committee, there are currently several questions which would at best be handled by such a committee, for example.

Speaking of the Language Committee, I connected with four other members of it during Wikimania (including Language space co-leaders m:User:Jon Harald Søby and m:User:Amire80) and it was very useful to be able to discuss some current issues in person. Reconnecting with m:User:Sj, former Board liaison to Langcom, was a personal highlight of the conference for me.

To end, I would like mention some other presentations which were highly useful, in my opinion:

All of them discussed "best practices" and useful things to keep in mind when working with "underresourced" languages on our projects, or - which is more what my focus is - how to support them as a non-speaker of the language.

How have I shared my Wikimania experiences with my local community? Which activities are still planned for sharing?

I wrote this great report, duh.
