The Bundesgymnasium Seekirchen is a federal school in Seekirchen, Austria.

Established by Prof. Mag. Hemetsberger in 1996 as a private school for the district of Flachgau, the school had to share the building with the “Hauptschule Seekirchen” in its early years. It was financed by the municipality of Seekirchen and soon got successful.

In 2001 the pupils and all the staff were able to move into the newly finished building. Together with the new building the school type changed from private to public and up to now it has been a federal school. Only three years later (in 2004) the first class of the BG Seekirchen took its A-levels and finished school. Today, about 650 pupils have joint and attend daily lessons with 63 teachers (in 2007).

Education focuses on world languages as well as on fundamental knowledge and preparation for university. Advanced and voluntary courses permit a huge amount of free education.

Regular activities such as a skiing and a sports week in hotels are supported as well as language exchanges (like Great Britain, Ireland, Belgium, France and Spain) and mathematical or scientific events.

The school provides a well equipped library, two IT rooms, rooms for special scientific issues (as in chemistry, physics, biology) and a covered and open air sports ground.
