a picture of the famous Riepp-organ in Ottobeuren
[Quelltext bearbeiten]Hello QBay,
I didn´t forget about the fotos of the franconian towns, but today I recognized you wrote about Silbermann and perhaps you are also interested in some fotos of organs. I had the pleasure last year to play on the famous 4-manual Riepp-organ in Ottobeuren and I´ve got a foto:
--Metzner Benutzer Diskussion:QBay/Dec 2007#c-Metzner-2007-07-30T04:29:00.000Z-a picture of the famous Riepp-organ in Ottobeuren11
- Hello, Metzner. You play organ ?! Great !! By the way, How can you know I wrote about Silbermann ? Yes, I'm interested in classic music. But I don't know much about organ. Gottfried Silbermann is one of the most famous organ-builders in Japan because of his relationship to J.S.Bach. So, even I know his name. Thank you for good photo of the organ. And I long to your photos of the towns in Franken. Regards! --QBay Benutzer Diskussion:QBay/Dec 2007#c-QBay-2007-07-30T15:01:00.000Z-Metzner-2007-07-30T04:29:00.000Z11
Hello QBay,
well - I visited your japanese discussion, switched to the german version and found the name of ( Gottfried ) Silbermann. Do you know, that exists another famous Silbermann? It is Andreas S. and he was nearly quite perfect as an organ builder, but in France, especially in Alsace and Strassbourg and other towns. Yes, I like playing the organ and especially I like playing big organs. Once or twice in a month a play the organ in Dinkelsbuehl minster. It is quite a big one and has 58 stops. What a sound ! Well - we had a lot of rain and bad weather and so I could not make any nice fotos from towns in Franconia. But I hope it will become better middle of the week. And you will get some fotos! greetings --Metzner Benutzer Diskussion:QBay/Dec 2007#c-Metzner-2007-07-30T20:02:00.000Z-a picture of the famous Riepp-organ in Ottobeuren11
- Hello, Metzner,
- Yes. I know Adreas Silbermann, who was Gottfried's elder brother and teacher. I've wrote an article of Andreas (ja:アンドレアス・ジルバーマン), too. But there are (almost) no reference for him in Japan. So I just put the German article into Japanese. The article is brief one, sorry. Regards --QBay Benutzer Diskussion:QBay/Dec 2007#c-QBay-2007-07-31T00:22:00.000Z-Metzner-2007-07-30T20:02:00.000Z11
Hello QBay,
You have a lot of information about this family !! I´m very impressed. I think you have more information to other german organ builders than I have! But if you have any questions I will help you as I am very interested in those matters since my schooltime.

Hello QBay, here comes a second part: two fotos from Dinkelsbuehl on a sunday, when I played the organ there. All the other fotos are from the village where my wife is from - near Coburg and not far from Bamberg and last not least from Roettingen/Tauber, where we bought this year a small house, which is attached to the Schneckenturm. But we will have to renovate it. Well that´s all for today and good night to Japan --Metzner Benutzer Diskussion:QBay/Dec 2007#c-Metzner-2007-07-31T22:05:00.000Z-fotos from Franken11

- Thank you very much! The article of Michelau in Oberfranken in ja-wiki was written by me. (The photo of Scheune+Bretter is very interesting for a simple half-thimber building.) This article is very brief one. If you (and your wife) would improve that in de-wiki (especially, the section of "Kultur und Sehenswürdigkeiten"), it must be great help for me. I have not written about Unterfranken, yet. I'll try it someday. Regards! --QBay Benutzer Diskussion:QBay/Dec 2007#c-QBay-2007-07-31T23:57:00.000Z-fotos from Franken11
Hello QBay,
yes, this Scheune+Bretter image is very typical for simple half-timbered buildings in Franken. I´ll try to make some pictures in the next months. So you can use them. By the way: we will have guests from Japan in the end of August. It is my friend Koichi Sunaga and his wife. They visit Europe nearly every year. Perhaps I can show him your articles in ja-wiki. He is professor for German Language in Tokio. My best greetings --Metzner Benutzer Diskussion:QBay/Dec 2007#c-Metzner-2007-08-01T04:50:00.000Z-fotos from Franken11

what about Lauf an der Pegnitz or Kalchreuth or Neunhof?
[Quelltext bearbeiten]Hello QBay, I had two days in Nuremberg and visited those towns/villages near the famous "Knoblauchsland" ( = garlic country ) and found them quite picturesque. Are you interested? --Metzner Benutzer Diskussion:QBay/Dec 2007#c-Metzner-2007-11-24T23:21:00.000Z-what about Lauf an der Pegnitz or Kalchreuth or Neunhof?11
- Hello, Metzner. This is the first time to hear "Knoblauchsland". I'd like to write about Nürnberg and Fürth because of the little articles in ja-wikipedia. I'm interested in the area. Thanks for your information. --QBay Benutzer Diskussion:QBay/Dec 2007#c-QBay-2007-11-25T00:18:00.000Z-Metzner-2007-11-24T23:21:00.000Z11
good morning QBay: now I´m going to play organ for the sunday service in Dinkelsbühl and afterwards I can show some of my pictures! --Metzner Benutzer Diskussion:QBay/Dec 2007#c-Metzner-2007-11-25T06:30:00.000Z-what about Lauf an der Pegnitz or Kalchreuth or Neunhof?11
well: I´m back from Dinkelsbühl! The name "Knoblauchsland" comes from the farming. They grow a lot of vegetables in this area: salad, Kraut, Porree, Asparagus etc. It is a very fertile soil. Now let me start a new gallery:
-
Patrizierschloss Neunhof im Knoblauchsland
-
Typisches Steinhaus im Nürnberger Land
-
Kirche und Schloss in Kalchreuth
-

-
Lauf: Häuserzeile Nähe Höllgasse
-
Lauf: frisch renoviertes Fachwerk
-
Lauf: Blick auf einen Turm
-
Kalchreuth: Kirche und Pfarrhaus
- Thank you, Metzner. They are very interesting photos. The Castle in the first photo has a very unique Form. The upper story is lager than the lower one! I've enjoyed your photos. Thank you. --QBay Benutzer Diskussion:QBay/Dec 2007#c-QBay-2007-11-25T14:21:00.000Z-what about Lauf an der Pegnitz or Kalchreuth or Neunhof?11
Hello QBay, now the gallery is becoming bigger! Kalchreuth is especially interesting, because it still exists a drawing or aquarelle ( ? ) by Albrecht Dürer. I think you get the "old version" in Google. Please let me know. My best geetings to Japan! --Metzner Benutzer Diskussion:QBay/Dec 2007#c-Metzner-2007-11-26T12:03:00.000Z-what about Lauf an der Pegnitz or Kalchreuth or Neunhof?11
...some minutes later: here is a link ( in German ) with Dürers paintings from about 1500: the name of the village was then Kalkrewt. http://www.fraenkischer-albverein.de/jubilaeum/kalchreuth/kalchreuth.htm --Metzner Benutzer Diskussion:QBay/Dec 2007#c-Metzner-2007-11-26T12:07:00.000Z-what about Lauf an der Pegnitz or Kalchreuth or Neunhof?11
